Core and a Quick Swim

Went to my core training class, which was good.  He did a lot of suspensions today, lots of planks and leg-lifts and holding.  Ouch.  I don't particularly enjoy those and I don't feel that I'm very good at them.  But I did them, regardless.

Went straight to the pool after and did a short set.  Swam 50y brs, 50y back stroke, 100y drills (finger drag, 3t, one-arm) then did 2 sets of 400y and got out of the pool.

Core Training

I was supposed to work today, so I was going to go to Core Training and then to the office.  Now that I don't have to work, I thought about adding another workout to my day... but my bones are still too sore to bike, I swam yesterday, and it is freezing outside for running.

I figure, aside from a great 30 minute core training class, today will be an off day.

Woot.

Ah, the Gym

Did some plyo and some core exercises today plus a quick run to get the blood pumping.  I don't have a foot pod any more, so I can't track indoor runs.  Was good.  I hope I'm sore tomorrow.

Boot camp - 2 of 12

I took a couple weeks off from boot camp because I have been sick.  And, the last boot camp destroyed my legs for a full week.  I really couldn't believe how much pain I was in.

Because of that, I tried to go a little easier this time.  Plus, I'm still not feeling 100% and the weather has gotten chillier.  I will say that I am in love with all of the cold weather fitness gear I acquired last year over the winter.  It will save my buns this season.  Yay!

Boot Camp - 1 of 12

My friend wanted to do a boot camp and asked me to sign up too, so today at 6:30am, we met in Central Park and did dozens of squats.  Ouch.  My legs already hurt and I haven't even slept yet.

The hour of work wasn't really all that difficult, but it definitely did what it was supposed to do.  Squats, lunges, planks, kettle bells, sprints... seems like a pretty well-rounded boot camp to me.
